Mark Leonard Watts turns his attention to Japanese female idols with particular focus on the magazine cover, almost famous, gravure idol. By combing self portraiture and close-up photographs of dolls, Mark reflects upon the male's gaze on these cover girl pin-ups commonly featured in Japanese print media. Also reproduced in locations in Parnell, Ponsonby, and Newton.
